PITC Global Traders gives hope to Biñan’s Bahay Pag-Asa

The Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) Traders team has shown flashes of toughness by winning and losing close fights to veteran teams despite being a rookie in the league of public servants. The squad was able to finish 6th out of 12 participants and received P100,000 cash prize for their chosen charities.
In line with the public service advocacy of UNTV Cup, the PITC was given the opportunity to help the Bahay Pag-Asa of Biñan, Laguna along with their two other chosen beneficiaries: Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute and Mga Munting Hiling Foundation, Inc.
(The city of Biñan dreams of a community where no child is deprived of his rights. In reality, there are children that are not taken care of, there are children who are involved in crimes. That’s why now in our center, we give these youth a chance to be rehabilitated and to be developed into a productive citizen for them to have a better future.)
And to do that, Bahay Pag-asa has a lot of programs for them.
Bahay Pag-asa Center Head Jeannie Banate said, “Meron kaming Alternative Learning System kung saan ‘yong mga bata, habang nandito eh naka-enroll sila.”
(We have an Alternative Learning System for the children admitted in our facility.)
The said charity institution also provides in-house skills training like candy-making, liquid and dishwashing soap-making, basket-making and backyard gardening.
(While the children are here, we prepare them to be self-reliant and rehabilitated so that when they go back to their family, they are a renewed person.)
Among their plans are having music therapy sessions and putting up a mini-clinic.
(To PITC Global Traders, good luck to all of you. Rest assured, your donation will be used accordingly. To Bro. Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon, we are glad that you have initiated a program like this [UNTV Cup] that helps a lot of people. I hope this will continue and I hope God will bless you with good health.)
