Representatives from Ombudsman Graftbuster with their beneficiary Ombudsman Provident Fund receive a cash prize of P100,000 in the seventh season of UNTV Cup. The prize was given during the 2nd game of the best-of-three finals series of the tournament on
March 11, 2019 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

It was in 2015 when the Office of the Ombudsman joined the league of public servants with a noble reason, to help their fellow employees via the Ombudsman Provident Fund as its chosen beneficiary.

According to Atty. Weomark Ryan Layson, the CEO of Ombudsman Provident Fund, “The Ombudsman Provident Fund serves as the main savings facility for all Ombudsman employees. It provides both financial and non-monetary assistance and benefits to all members of the Ombudsman office.”

“We also provide health and medical assistance wherein the office courses all its medical assistance and health assistance through the Ombudsman Provident Fund. Certain assistance like the medical and burial assistance that extend to certain compulsary heirs or beneficiaries of each member are extended also,” Atty. Layson added.

Elaborating on the services offered by the Graftbusters’ chosen beneficiary, Atty. Layson says “various loan facilities are available for our members and we give out very minimal interest rates for these loans to help our members cope up in their certain obligations.”

Aside from medical and financial services, the Ombudsman Provident Fund also acquires health and wellness equipment for the employees.

With Team Ombudsman’s participation in the league of public servants, the members of the Ombudsman Provident Fund are grateful for having something they could lean their back on.

“To Kuya Daniel Razon and UNTV people, thank you very much for giving us a very relevant league wherein more public servants could participate. And every donation that UNTV gives out to each and every agency goes a long way, augmenting and helping (people in need)”, the Ombudsman Provident Fund CEO expressed.
