3:30 pm – DOJ vs Ombudsman

5 pm – Judiciary vs Malacañang

Venue: Pasig City Sports Center

An explosive match is anticipated between the Judiciary Magis and Malacañang-PSC Kamao in the third game of this Sunday’s triple header UNTV Cup Off Season Executive Face-off, 5 PM at the Pasig City Sports Center.

Magis will employ speed and high endurance levels to prevent key Kamao players, Special Assistant to the President, Christopher ‘Bong’ Go and Lieutenant Commander Paul Yamamoto, from bucketing several shots that would land Kamao its first ever win.

Go and Yamamoto made 25 and 22 points, respectively, in their last game in May 6 against Senate Sentinels and May 13 against Ombudsman Graft Busters.

Magis will intensify their hustle on the defense to claim their third win after suffering defeat from the hands of PNP Responders last week.

Judiciary Magis Head Coach Warrant Ybanez said, “Magpapakundisyon lang lagi para makasabay sa takbuhan… [Sina] Bong Go, Yamamoto, yun yung kailangan namin bantayan sa kanila.”

(We will need to condition ourselves so we can outrun them. We need to guard [SAP] Bong Go, [Paul Anthony] Yamamoto among their players.)

While an equally determined Kamao team vows to bounce back to enter the win column.

The second game, meanwhile, features DOJ Justice Boosters eager in claiming their second victory as it collides with Ombudsman Graft Busters at 3:30 PM.

DOJ and Ombudsman both tallied one win each.

Ombudsman’s Coach Ricky Alcantara believes they need to ramp up tactics and lineup strength to overpower DOJ cagers.

Ombudsman Head Coach Ricky Alcantara said, “I hope na next time makumpleto kami. Alam mo naman yung mga executive mahirap makumpleto especially yung practice pa lang kulang-kulang na kami.”

(I hope next time we can all make it. You know the executives are very hard to gather, especially during practice.)

Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Richard Anthony Fadullon promised, “Paghahandaan namin sila.”

(We will prepare for them.)

“The only thing that we can promise you is that we will do our best every time we do our play.”
