The Senior Senate cagers prepare tighter defense and offense plays as they gun for a back-to-back championship title win this UNTV Cup Off Season Executive Face-Off.

During the opening games last May 6, the Senate executives displayed strength and agility at par with their regular team as they narrowly clipped the Malacañang-PSC Kamao, scoring 78-74.

“Because our players are motivated with our win in the last season so it’s a collective effort from everybody. They are inspired with the UNTV regular-season win,” Sentinels Head Coach Mike Fermin.

And in the upcoming match, they vow to double their efforts and team condition.

Sen. Joel Villanueva said, “We need to improve a lot with our defense, the execution, pacing and more importantly giving up offensive rebounds.”

While the Thunder Furies, though a newbie in the hardcourt, remain resolute to give a good fight against the Sentinels.

“As long as we can, we are practicing whenever we can, though we lack in preparation, though we are the smallest, we will play with our hearts,” Furies’ Atty. Percival Flores said.

Thunder Furies will go against the Sentinels this Sunday’s first game, around two in the afternoon at the Pasig City Sports Center.

While the public servants play, the UNTV Action Center in partnership with several government agencies will provide free services for the public. — Bernard Dadis | UNTV News & Rescue
