UNTV will hold its 11th anniversary celebration on August 24 and 25 at the SMX Convention Center and Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City with public service-oriented activities and the launching of its new branding, UNTV Life.
Themed “Live Bigger,” the two-day revelry aims to showcase the broadcasting network’s thrust to provide better programs and mount bigger projects that uplift the welfare of the Filipinos.
The celebration will kick-off with the opening rites of UNTV Cup’s Season 4 on August 24, 7 p.m., at the MOA Arena. The basketball league allows various public servants of different government agencies to play for a noble cause.
This season, a total of 12 government organizations will vie for the championship title including Malacañang, Senate, House of Representatives, Supreme Court, Department of Justice, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Philippine National Police.
Completing the roster are the Government Service Insurance System, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, National Housing Authority, Bureau of Fire Protection and the newcomer, Office of the Ombudsman.
The second day will commence with the 2nd UNTV Rescue Summit and Public Service Fair at 9:00 am at the SMX Convention Center.
The summit will serve as an avenue for the launching of 911-UNTV, the new face of UNTV’s News and Rescue Team. Experts in emergency response and disaster management will also join the event to share life-saving tips and skills.
Meanwhile, a total of 26 government organizations will participate at the UNTV Action Center’s 2nd Public Service Fair — a one-stop shop for different government-related services such as applications for NBI clearance; postal and PhilHealth ID’s and SSS online verifications.
Come evening of the 25th at the MOA Arena, the station will unveil its new look and new format — UNTV Life. This event will introduce the network’s goal of reaching out to more people by launching bigger innovations.
Also, in partnership with FM radio station Wish 1075, UNTV will hold a concert featuring today’s finest and fast-rising artists such as Rachel Alejandro, Gwyneth Dorado, Kris Lawrence, Joshua Dionisio and 5th Gen.
