Last January 15, 2017 (Monday), Kuya Daniel Razon introduced to the crowd the new Wish Bus which will station at Hollywood, USA
MANILA, Philippines – Wish 107.5 stays true to its commitment to be Filipino talent’s gateway to the world.
Through Wish FM’s innovations, foreigners were wowed by the singing prowess of OPM artists.
Wishclusive videos taken on the Pambansang Wish Bus continue to gain worldwide attention through the Wish Youtube channel.
It now has almost 2 million subscribers and over 800 million views.
And now, aiming to further promote Filipino talent, Wish FM is set to bring the Wishclusive performances abroad through the popular Wish Bus.
“At this point, I would just like to let you know that in these coming months, we are already preparing for another big leap and we have that already. We have traveled our Wish Bus from New York to Los Angeles. Now it’s already in Hollywood and waiting for the inauguration,” said Wish creator, Kuya Daniel Razon.
“After this Hollywood thing, we’re looking forward to having also our Wish Bus in Europe,” he added.
OPM artists were amazed at the concept of a traveling Wish bus.
“If halimbawa, magkaroon ng Wish Bus sa ibang bansa and then magf-fly sila ng mga OPM artists doon tapos iikot sa iba’t ibang bansa, magandang idea iyon. Kasi sobrang unique eh kahit iyong mga foreigner’s pag narinig nila yung… ‘What? Studio in a bus?’ Parang sobrang nacucurious sila tapos hindi pa puchu-puchu iyong quality. Kung gaano kaganda iyong quality sa regular na studio, kung hindi pa mas maganda parang pwede mo na silang i-compare. So nakakaproud na meron tayong nap-produce na ganun kaya sana matuloy yun,” said popular “soul supreme” singer, KZ Tandingan.
(If for example, there will be a Wish bus in other countries and they will fly OPM artists there and tour different countries. That’s a good idea because it’s so unique. Even foreigners, whenever they hear… ‘What? Studio in a bus?’ they seem so curious and the quality is very good.)
“Ang dami pong Filipino artists abroad that are just so great. Sa states pa lang po sobrang naguumapaw na din lahat ng talents ng Filipinos there and so to have Wish Bus go there so that they could help promote the OFWs or the Filipinos that are residing in different countries. It’s such a great opportunity and a great avenue once again that Wish has created,” said rising singer/song writer, Moira dela Torre.

“For us to be able to bring Wish to other countries and to reach our kababayans there and more, sobrang laking ano nun (it’s such a big deal). It’s an honor of course to be a part of this family and it’s so big for Wish. I’m only very excited, I’m looking forward for what else is in store for everybody kaya go. Congratulations po Kuya Daniel,” said stage actress and recording star Morissette Amon.

MANILA, Philippines — The almost seven-month vocal battle of the biggest online singing competition Wishcovery concluded Tuesday night.
Fans of Wishful 5 Carmela Ariola, Hacel Bartolome, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala and Princess Sevillena flocked to the Big Dome to support their bets in the grand finals.
The scores of the first two rounds were computed from their last Wish Bus performance.
For round 3, the Wishfuls sang a medley of their previous performances but the challenge was to make foreign reactors Cicero Oca and Richie Rich appreciate OPM songs.
The next round showcased the Wishful 5’s ability to sing with a group as they perform an original composition of Wishcovery resident reactor Jungee-neer.
For the last part of the contest, the grand finalists gave their all in their solo performances.
Cavite’s Hacel was hailed the competition’s fourth runner-up who received P100,000.
Batanguena Wishful Carmela is the third runner-up winning a cash prize of P100,000.
Second runner-up is Bulacan’s Louie Anne taking home a total of P300,000.
Receiving half a million pesos is first runner-up Kimberly of Bicol and the first-ever grand winner is Metro Manila’s bet and wildcard pick, Princess.
She won P2-million worth of cash and contract, a house and lot and a brand new car.
Princess will also fly to New York for a musical training and a makeover.
“Thank you, Lord. Thank you so much. Big blessing talaga. Hindi talaga dapat sumuko. Dapat laban lang ng laban hanggang maabot mo ‘yung pangarap mo,” said Princess.
(Thank you, Lord. Thank you so much. This is really a big blessing. We really should not give up. We should keep on fighting until we reach our dream.)
Star Music also sees great potential in the grand champion.
“Sobrang deserving ng winner natin and I’m very excited to work with her and talaga she would be the next big diva,” said Star Music audio content head Jonathan Manalo.

Meanwhile, aspiring singers should get ready for a bigger Wishcovery next season.
“Naka-ready na ‘yung Season 2 ng Wishcovery at mas malaki ang plano natin para dito. Hinihintay pa natin ang tamang panahon para i-reveal ito pero in the meantime ‘yun munang ating mga nanalo at especially yung Wishful 5 ‘yung kanilang kontrata sa atin, we will start to fulfill ‘yun. Ngayon ay binibigyan natin ng concentration ang pag manage sa kanila in collaboration with Star Music,” said Wishcovery originator, BMPI Pres. and CEO Kuya Daniel Razon.

MANILA, Philippines — The battle on the hard court between Malacañang-PSC Kamao and Senate Defenders at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday was intense during UNTV Cup’s Season 6 Game 2 Finals.
The two teams showed their hard work in an effort to provide huge assistance for their chosen beneficiaries.
The champion, the Senate Defenders won P4-million for their three beneficiaries namely: Kythe Foundation, Tahanang Mapagpala Immaculada Concepcion, and Pangarap Foundation.
Meanwhile, runner-up Malacañang-PSC Kamao bagged P2-million with which they intend to assist around 600 cancer patients of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC).
“Malaking tulong itong premyong nakuha namin at sana ipagpatuloy nila ang magandang hangarin nila sa pagtulong sa mga pasyente,” said PCMC Cancer & Hematology Center Administrative Officer Mercy del Rosario.
(This prize is really a great help and we hope they will continue their advocacy to help the patients.)
“We have partner hospitals where we have our child life program and the amount granted to us by Senate will go a long way in pushing for the medicine, the [transportation] and everything,” said Kythe Foundation Inc. president, Atty. Roy Santos.
The third runner-up, AFP Cavaliers, received P1-million for their beneficiary, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System Office (AFP-EBSO).
The 4th placer NHA Builders received P500, 000 while the other 10 participating teams received P100,000 each for their chosen institutions.
“We should complete the good works we started because in Galatians 6:10, it says while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all men especially to those who are of the household of faith.
“There is special care for the household of faith but the words of God said we must do good unto all men, even to those who do not of the household of faith. It means we have obligation to do good even to those who are not of the household of faith, charitable works which prove ever since we were given the chance to manage the UN Television.
“These charitable works, these are not just for one day, once a year, once a month or once in a blue moon. This will be continuous. One of these is the UNTV Cup, in which the cash prizes will be given to chosen charitable institutions of the teams. If we are commanded to love our enemies, more so we should love those who are less fortunate and being sponsored by the teams through our basketball league,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Executive Face-Off of the UNTV Cup off-season games eye for level-up public service and more camaraderie between government officials and employees.
“Many committed to play for the Executive Face-Off. We’re hoping that our executives will give further participation including various government officials in the executive level because this is their chance as well to share not only the prize they won for their beneficiaries but also to develop camaraderie among the high-ranking officials, to take a break and exercise through the UNTV Cup off-season games, the Executive Face-Off. God-willing, it will be more exciting and more will participate,” said UNTV-BMPI CEO & president, Daniel Razon.— Rosalie Coz | UNTV News and Rescue

Signing of Memorandum of Agreement for the 3rd Rescue Summit
MANILA, Philippines — Massive damages in Metro Manila are expected in case a 7.2 magnitude earthquake or the “Big One” occurs.
Aside from the possible destruction of thousands of infrastructures and buildings, there is a fear of a mass casualty.
To better prepare for this possible catastrophe, UNTV will hold a broader Rescue Summit in cooperation with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“Ang preparation is, of course, kasama iyong enhanced training, iyong mga skills development at iyong upgrading ng equipment. Nandiyan lahat iyan and makikita natin iyan. Lilitaw lahat iyan pagka nagawa na natin itong ating rescue summit na pinaplano ngayon,” said BMPI President and CEO Kuya Daniel Razon.
(The preparation includes enhanced training, skills development and equipment upgrade. All these will emerge when we finalize the rescue summit.)
The third Rescue Summit will feature National Capital Region (NCR) Local Disaster Risk Reduction, management capability display and the disaster preparedness and information dissemination demonstration.
The event will also highlight a friendly rescue competition among rescue groups from various provinces that are expected to be affected or those that may be able to respond should “The Big One”rock the country.
“Lahat ng mga kalapit na probinsya and hopefully mas marami pang mga provinces ang magjo-join dahil alam naman natin iyong preparedness na ito for the ‘Big One’ hindi lang naman isang area o hindi lang naman sa National Capital Region ang ating tinitignan dito kundi talagang malawakan talaga iyang pinaghahandaan nating ‘yan,” said the public service advocate.
(Nearby provinces and more will hopefully join because as we know, in terms of preparedness for the Big One, we are not only looking at the National Capital Region but nationwide.)
DILG officer-in-charge Sec. Eduardo Año, meanwhile, lauds this concept of UNTV.
“This is a very noble idea, very noble project. Makakaasa ang ating publiko na magiging mas prepared ang ating mga emergency response teams kasama na iyong ating mga kapatid sa media. Hinahangad ko na tuloy-tuloy itong project na ito at marami pa tayong mahikayat na sumali sa ating adhikain para magkaroon ng ligtas na Pilipinas,” said Año.
(This is a very noble idea, very noble project. The public can count on the preparedness of our emergency response teams in partnership with media. I wish for the continuity of this project and that we will be able to convince more sectors to join our advocacy for a safer Philippines.)
The Rescue Summit is just one of the many projects of UNTV that aim to help save lives.
