Typhoon Ulysses’ damage to agri, infra reaches over P10 billion — NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — The estimated cost of damage caused by Typhoon Ulysses to infrastructure has reached P6,097,472,576.28 while agricultural losses have amounted to P4,017,999,590 the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.

In its latest situation report, the NDRRMC said damage were recorded in Regions I, II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, Cordillera, and the National Capital Region.

The number of fatalities remains at 73 while the number of injured was 24 and 19 others are missing.

A total of 65,222 houses were damaged by the typhoon in Regions I, II, III, CALABARZON, V, and Cordillera.

Around 55,352 families are still staying in evacuation centers following Ulysses’ onslaught.

Some 234 cities and municipalities remain without power while 50 areas have experienced water interruption.

Luzon has been placed under a state of calamity due to the impact of the recent typhoons.
