The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) monitored a tropical storm, with international name “Wutip”, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility or PAR.

It was seen 360km in the west of Mindanao and has wind strength of 80km/hr with gust reaching 95km.

However, PAGASA said there is a small possibility it will enter PAR and affect the country.

Meanwhile, cold weather is still experienced in several areas in the country. PAGASA said the low temperature is not only attributed to the northeast monsoon but also because of the clear weather during the evening.

On Wednesday, temperature in Baguio was about 12.2 degrees Celsius and Quezon City recorded 20.4 degrees Celsius temperature.

Large parts of Luzon and Visayas will experience good weather while Mindanao might experience thunderstorms. — Aileen Cerrudo
