The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has warned the public against fake websites to prevent people from falling prey to scams.
In an advisory, the LTO clarified that ‘lisensya.info’ is not an official website of the agency or of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). The agency warned that these fake websites aim to get sensitive information from the public which could be used for scams and other illegal activities.
Listed below are the official websites and pages of LTO:
The DOTr also reminds the public to always refer to official government websites and social media accounts. The department also warned not to provide information to unverified accounts or individuals and immediately report suspicious websites or individuals to the authorities. AAC
MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has once again extended the period of vehicle registration this year.
The said development is to avoid congestion in all LTO offices and ensure orderly processing of transactions while strictly implementing the observance of social distancing and other health and sanitation protocols amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
This also aims at protecting the health and safety of the agency’s employees as well as the transacting public.
Hence, registration validity of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7, and 8 is extended until October 30.
Meanwhile, registration validity for motor vehicles with plate numbers ending with 9 and 0 will be until December 31.
The agency, as always, reminds vehicle owners to register on the given schedule to avoid congestion in LTO offices.
