ALBAY, Philippines – Authorities from the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) requested for the medical abstract of Daraga Mayor Carlwyn Baldo to verify the true health condition of the local executive.

Police said they wanted to know why the Mayor needed to stay longer in the hospital right after he was arrested for illegal possession of firearms.

Baldo has been in the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital in Legaspi City more than a week already.

He was rushed to the hospital on January 23 when he began hyperventilating during his arrest after police raided his house for firearms.

According to the PNP’s legal team, the medical abstract can help them decide if the Mayor needs to be under hospital arrest. – UNTV News and Rescue
