Oil price hike set for Tuesday, March 2

MANILA, Philippines – Local pump prices of petroleum products will be adjusted anew this week, oil companies announced on Monday.
In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex) said they will increase the prices per liter of gasoline by P1.00, diesel by P0.85, and kerosene by P0.70.
Cleanfuel also announced it will implement the same price changes.
The oil price hike will take effect on Tuesday, March 2.
Other oil firms have yet to make similar announcements.
This is the fifth consecutive week of price hikes for gasoline and the fourth for both diesel and kerosene.
Meanwhile, the price of Solane liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will also increase by P0.65 per kilogram effective March 1, 2021.
