Police nab mother-and-son drug pushers in Laguna

LAGUNA, Philippines – Following months of surveillance, authorities nabbed Salve Gogolin and her son Richard, in a drug buy-bust operation Wednesday night, June 20, in Barangay Pansol, Calamba, Laguna.

Aside from the two, police also arrested on site three individuals in the act of trading illegal drugs. They were identified as John Lexter Leonen , Joy Magnaye and Zaida Pagsaligan.

“Ang target po ng aming buy-bust operation ay magina na nagtutulak ng iligal na droga , dati na silang target ng aming himpilan four months ago dahil nainvolved sila sa shooting incident ng isang pulis,” said PSupt. Redentor Ulsano, Chief of Calamba Police.

Authorities recovered from the suspects six packets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.

PSupt. Ulsano said Salve admitted she was forced into illegal drug trading due to poverty.

“Maari halos lahat naman ng naiinvolved sa iligal na droga ay jobless tingin nila madaling kumita ng pera sa iligal na droga. Iyon nga lang iyong pahamak na pedeng silang mahuli anytime ay andun sa kanila,” he explained.

5 killed in separate buy-bust operations in 3 Bulacan towns

An overnight of separate drug buy- bust operations in three different towns Bulacan resulted in the death of five suspected drug pushers.

 

BULACAN, Philippines —  Two drug suspects were killed in a separate buy-bust operations of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Pandi, Bulacan Tuesday night.

Allan Dexter dela Cruz was fatally shot after allegedly resisting arrest when he sensed he was transacting with a police officer at past 12 midnight.

The same case happened with another drug suspect identified only as alias “Larry” who was cornered by police in a remote and grassy area, still in the town of Pandi at dawn.

Seized from each suspect were .38 caliber pistol; about 10 sachets of shabu and P500 of buy-bust money.

Two separate buy-bust operations in Balagtas, Bulacan also yielded two fatalities.

A drug suspect identified as alias Lito Onse was killed at Barangay Santol, while the other suspect remained unidentified as of press time.

Both were said to have resisted arrest after undercover police bought shabu at P500.

Meanwhile, a tricycle driver was also shot dead in Barangay Kutkot, Pulilan, Bulacan at 12:30am.

Police said the driver quickly fled after sensing that he was selling drugs to a cop.

Police seize P680,000-worth of suspected shabu in Taytay, Rizal

Several packs of suspected shabu seized by authorities in a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal

 

RIZAL, Philippines – Operatives of the Rizal Provincial Police Office arrested a suspected drug courier in a buy-bust operation along C6 Road in Barangay Sta. Ana, Lupang Arenda in Taytay, Rizal Tuesday night, May 22.

The female suspect was identified as Marlyn Datalio, 40, a resident of Lower Bicutan in Taguig City.

A police asset tracked Datalio when she got off a white taxicab and transferred to a white SUV which served as the suspect’s delivery vehicle to the site where a poseur buyer and other cops were waiting.

Police recovered from the suspect 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at P680,000.

Datalio denied allegations and claimed someone ordered her to do the transaction.

PRO-4A Regional Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said Datalio was previously detained in Pasig City for drug peddling but was out on bail.

“Ang transakyon niya hindi maliitan…Sinasabi na siya’y ginagamit lang as a courier,” Eleazar said.

(Her transactions are not small scale…reports say she’s being used as a courier)

“Itong mga Muslim dito sa area ng Taguig doon siya kumukuha ng supply para i-distribute doon sa kaniyang pinagdadalhan sa Metro Manila at Rizal Province,” he added.

(She gets her supplies from Muslims in Taguig area, then distributes it to Metro Manila and Rizal Province.

Eleazar said Datalio was no longer allowed bail and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. – Reynante Ponte | UNTV News & Rescue

Train runs over drunken man asleep on railway track

Torn remains of Elezardy Espinosa

LAGUNA, Philippines  — An overly drunk man had his limbs torn from his body after a train ran over his sleeping form on the middle of the track in San Pedro, Laguna, Monday night, May 14.

The victim was identified as 45-year old Elezardy Espinosa.

According to residents nearby, Espinosa was highly intoxicated with alcohol when he fell asleep on the railway track of the Philippine National Railways.

He was hit by a train bound for Cabuyao. The management of the PNR has yet to comment on the incident. —Sherwin Culubong  | UNTV News & Rescue
