MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark reported the seizure of two black plastic packs of shabu with a weight of 1,000 grams and an estimated value of P6.8 million concealed inside an imported Air Fryer from Sha Alam, Malaysia.

The shipment, which arrived on February 16, was declared as “Air Fryer, Silkware”.

Physical examination led to the discovery of two frying pans and one air fryer. 

Meanwhile, x-ray examination revealed the presence of organic substance inside the lid of the air fryer. 

The Customs examiner opened the same where he found two black plastic packs containing crystalline substances which were later confirmed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu after laboratory testing and chemical analysis.

The claimant was arrested on February 19 through a Warrant of Seizure and Detention issued by District Collector Atty. Ruby Alameda.

He is now facing a case for violation of Section 4 (Importation of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26a , Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

MANILA, Philippines — The Taytay Philippine National Police (PNP) has seized over P1 million worth of suspected illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Rizal.

Taytay PNP Chief of Police PLtCol. Rodel Ban-o reported that suspect, Gerlie Lasap, was arrested during an operation in Barangay Sta. Ana in Taytay, Rizal.

Authorities seized from Lasap around 200 grams of suspected illegal drugs, including P99,000 worth of fake money.

“Initially, based on our findings, she’s one of the main sources of the drug supply here in Taytay. A 200 to 500 grams per transaction is a huge supply already,” he said.

Ban-O also said Lasap also has dealings in Taguig City where illegal drugs are reportedly in short supply.

“This is an indicator po na kumakaunti po ang supply (that supply is dwindling),” he added.

Authorities are currently investigating where Lasap sourced her supplies and who her buyers are. AAC (with reports from Jennica Cruz)

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday (February 11) seized around 1 kilogram of suspected illegal drugs worth P6.8 million during a buy-bust operation in Imus, Cavite.

Authorities conducted the buy-bust operation in Barangay Alapan 2 where three suspects were arrested. Also seized from the suspects are P2,000 cash with boodle money and two vehicles.

Arrested individuals were identified as Aina Elias Maamor alias Uking, 20 years old; Sittie Ambuludto Pagayao, 30 years old; and Michael Ordoñez Romualdez alias Bossing, 33 years old.

All arrested suspects are now under the custody of PNP-Drug Enforcement Group and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. -AAC
