“Itong operation na ginagawa ng Philippine National Police hindi lang po sa NCR. Everyday, may operation sa buong Pilipinas,” ani DILG Sec. Mel Senen Sarmiento.

“Since January 1, nasa 200 kilos na tayo, around 4,800 arrested already,” dagdag pa nito.

Sa ngayon, dinala na sa Camp Bagong Diwa ang mga suspek pati ang sasakyang ginamit nito para sa imbestigasyon.

P141 million worth of shabu seized in Pasay – BOC

Robie de Guzman   •   December 18, 2019

MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Wednesday said it has intercepted more than 20 kilograms of shabu (crystal meth) estimated to worth more than P141-million in a warehouse in Pasay City.

In a statement, the BOC said the illegal drugs were concealed on two parcels, which were declared as speakers. These were shipped to the country from the United States.

The illegal drugs were discovered during an examination conducted by Customs agents at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The BOC said the seized drugs will be turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for further investigation.

The name of the parcels’ consignee and sender were not disclosed due to the ongoing probe.

The bureau said the importation of dangerous drugs is a crime punishable under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in relation to the Customs Modernization Tariff Act.

The BOC added that the latest discovery of illegal drugs is the result of the continued efforts of the BOC in coordination with PDEA and other members of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG).

NCRPO to check if drugs seized in Marikina are part of confiscated drugs in Makati

Maris Federez   •   December 10, 2019

MANILA, Philippines— The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is currently looking into the connection of the batch of methamphetamine or shabu that was seized in a buy-bust operation in Marikina on Monday night to the contraband confiscated by the PNP Drug Enforcement Group in Makati in November.

NCRPO acting director PBGen. Debold Sinas said both contrabands were put in teabags.

The official said he will have the seized product analyzed at the PNP Crime Laboratory to determine if it came from only one source.

“Yung pinaglalagyan nito ay teabag kaya nga ang suspetsa namin ay baka part ito ng nahuli sa Makati na 374. Pina compare na namin sa crime lab yung tea bag kung pareho ang appearance.  Kasi pag sinabi ng crime lab na pareho meaning na distribute na yung iba,” Sinas said.

On Monday night, authorities arrested a male-female partner in Marikina City where they seized over one kilogram of shabu with a street value of Php 7-million.(with details from Lea Ylagan) /mbmf
