Oil prices hike again amid pandemic

MANILA, Philippines — Heftier pump prices of fuel products greeted motorists Tuesday(June 30), as prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene marked another price hike that took effect at 6:00 a.m. today.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc., Flying V, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will increase the price of gasoline by P0.70 per liter; diesel by P0.30/L, and kerosene by P0.40/L.

Meanwhile, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., PTT Philippines Corp., and Total Philippines Corp. also implemented the same adjustments, except for kerosene which they do not carry.

Other firms are expected to make their announcements anytime within the week.

The price hike was prompted by the movement of fuel prices in the international oil market.

Oil prices to go up anew this week

MANILA, Philippines – Local fuel prices are expected to go up anew this week, marking the second consecutive week of oil price increases.

In an advisory, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. announced it will hike the prices of gasoline by P0.20 per liter, kerosene by P0.45, and diesel by P0.05.

In a separate advisory, Petro Gazz also said it will implement the same price changes except for kerosene which it does not carry.

The price hike will take effect on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Cleanfuel, on the other hand, said it will not implement any price adjustment this week.

Other oil firms have yet to announce any price hike for this week.


Oil price hike set for Sept. 22

MANILA, Philippines – Local prices of petroleum products will increase anew this week.

In separate advisories, Seaoil Philippines and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp announced the prices of their gasoline per liter will go up P0.60 a liter, kerosene by P0.55 and diesel by P0.20.

Cleanfuel and PetroGazz also announced the same amount of price adjustment except for kerosene which they do not carry.

The price hike will take effect on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Other oil companies have yet to announce price adjustments for the week.

The price hike comes after oil firms implemented rollback last week.


Oil price adjustments effective Aug. 25

MANILA, Philippines —Effective Tuesday (August 25), oil players will impose some adjustments in prices of fuel products. 

At 12:00 a.m., Chevron raised its gasoline prices by 15 centavos per liter but decreased diesel prices by 15 centavos per liter and kerosene by 20 centavos per liter.

Meanwhile, Shell, Petron, and Seaoil followed at 6:00 a.m. with similar increases in gasoline prices and a decrease of 20 centavos and 25 centavos per liter of diesel and kerosene, respectively. 

The same price adjustments were implemented by Petro Gazz and PTT Philippines. 

Cleanfuel on the other hand announced an increase of 15 centavos per liter of gasoline and a rollback of 20 centavos per liter of diesel effective 8:00 a.m.
