MANILA, Philippines – Local pump prices are expected to go up on Tuesday after weeks of steady decline brought about by measures imposed to contain the spread of novel coronavirus disease.

In separate advisories, Shell Philippines, Flying V, Unioil Petroleum Philippines, and SEAOIL said they will hike the price of gasoline by P2.00 per liter, and P1.90 for gasoline.

The price of kerosene will also increase by P1.25 per liter.

Other oil companies have yet to announce price hikes.

The increase in local pump prices, which will take effect on Tuesday, May 12, reflects the movement of prices in the world market.

This follows the move of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies cut their output until next month.
