Several oil firms implemented a rollback in prices of petroleum products.

MANILA, Philippines — Several oil firms implemented a rollback in prices of petroleum products.

Shell, Petron, Seaoil and Flying V. implemented a one-peso per liter rollback in their prices of gasoline.

Diesel prices go down by P0.30 per liter, while prices of kerosene also decrease by P0.85  per liter.

Phoenix, Eastern Petroleum, PTT and Unioil also implement a similar rollback in the prices of fuel. — UNTV News & Rescue

Oil price rollback set next week

Oil companies are set to implement an oil price rollback starting next week.

According to industry players, there will be a possible P1.20 per liter rollback in diesel prices while P0.50 per liter rollback in gasoline prices.

The rollback is due to the fuel price movement in the world market.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (Aug 7) prices of auto LPG also dropped by P1.00 per liter.—AAC (with reports from Mon Jocson)

Oil firms to adjust diesel, gas prices Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines – Local oil firms have announced they will adjust the prices of diesel and gasoline starting Tuesday, July 9.

In separate advisories released over the weekend, oil companies said the price of diesel will be rolled back by P0.40 per liter but gasoline will increase by P0.25 a liter.

This is the fourth straight week that gasoline prices have spiked.

The adjustment will be implemented to reflect international market prices. Global crude prices dropped for most of the past trading week due to the outlook for global economic growth and possible lower demand.

Last week, oil firms raised gasoline prices by P0.30 per liter, diesel by P0.55 and kerosene by P0.45 a liter.

Local oil prices will significantly decrease this week.

In an advisory, oil firms said the prices of gasoline will be reduced by P1.75 per liter, diesel by P1.05 and P1.00 for gasoline.

The price rollback will take effect on June 4, Tuesday, but Phoenix Petroleum adjusted their prices around noon on Saturday.

The oil price slash was implemented to reflect the prices in the international world market.

This is the second straight week that oil companies will reduce fuel prices.

Last week, the price of gasoline was slashed by P0.35 per liter, diesel by P0.45 and kerosene by P0.60 a liter.
