Mga magulang ng mga kabataang lumalabag sa ECQ, iminungkahing maparuhasan

MANILA, Philippines – Isinusulong ng Joint Task Force (JTF) Coronavirus (CV) Shield sa mga lokal na pamahalaan ang pagpapasa ng ordinansa na layong magpataw ng parusa sa mga magulang ng mga menor de edad na lumalabag sa panuntunan ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Ayon kay Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, ang pinuno ng JTF CV Shield, reponsibilidad ng mga magulang na pasunurin ang kanilang mga anak sa umiiral na mga alituntunin para na rin sa kaligtasan ng buong pamilya sa gitna ng banta ng novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Aniya, dapat ring magsilbing magandang ehemplo ang mga magulang sa kanilang mga anak sa pagtalima sa ipinatutupad na curfew at quarantine protocols.
Kung ayaw sumunod ng mga kabataan sa isinasaad na curfew at stay-at-home rules, sinabi ni Eleazar na ang magulang ng mga ito ang ipinapanukala nilang maparusahan dahil hindi naman maaaring arestuhin ang mga menor de edad sang-ayon sa batas.

MANILA, Philippines—Around P30 million worth of fake cigarettes were seized in two warehouses in Bataan, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PNP Chief PGen. Debold Sinas reported that the Police Regional Office 3, with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and other local authorities, raided Crisostomo Rice Mill Warehouse in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Orion, Bataan.
They discovered units of cigarette-making machines and raw materials worth around P20 million.
A Follow-up operation was conducted where authorities seized an undetermined quantity of imported sacks of rice and master cases of counterfeit different brands of cigarettes. The seized items have an estimated value of P10 million.
“I commend our police units and other pillars of the criminal justice system for their support in the fight against criminality. The successful raid today is just a manifestation of our long-lasting cooperation to better serve and protect the community from all kinds of lawlessness,” Sinas said. –AAC
MANILA, Philippines – San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora confirmed on Monday that he has tested positive for novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post, Zamora said he is currently under quarantine at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
“I would like to announce that I have tested positive with COVID-19. My results came out today after a routine swab test yesterday evening, February 28, 2021. A confirmatory test was done today and the results turned out to be positive,” he said.
“I have decided to quarantine myself in Cardinal Santos Medical Center to ensure that I do not transmit the virus to anyone else in the community and to protect everyone around me including my children and my wife who is a cancer survivor,” he added.
