DPWH to conduct weekend road repairs, reblocking

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced it will conduct repairs and reblocking in several roads in Metro Manila from August 2 (Friday) to August 5 (Monday).

The road repair will start at 11 p.m. later in the following roads:

SOUTHBOUND:

  • EDSA fronting Sojen and fronting Chevrolet (5th lane from sidewalk)
  • EDSA from KM 25+816 to KM 25+876.80 (3rd, 4th, outer lane)
  • EDSA Eugenio Lopez – Sct. Borromeo (desilting and construction of manhole)
  • Katipunan Ave. from Raja Matanda to Boni Serrano Tunnel (truck lane)
  • Quezon City along EDSA Southbound between West Avenue and Philam Village (restoration/concreting works)

EASTBOUND:

  • Quirino Highway opposite Colegio de Sta. Teresa and near New Heaven Subd. (inner lane)
  • Elliptical Rd before Commonwealth Ave. (7th lane from outer sidewalk)

WESTBOUND:

  • General Luis before Oriental Tin

NORTHBOUND:

  • EDSA before New York St. (1st lane from sidewalk)
  • C-5 Road C.P Garcia approach to Kalayaan Ave. Ext.

Motorists are advised to avoid the said areas and use alternate routes instead.

All affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, August 5, the DPWH said.

MANILA, Philippines – Some roads in Metro Manila will be closed for scheduled road repair and reblocking starting Friday, February 21, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

In an advisory, the DPWH said the following roads will undergo repair and reblocking beginning 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday, February 24:

SOUTHBOUND:

  • Bonifacio Ave. 11th Ave. to Sgt. Rivera St. (3rd lane from the sidewalk)
  • EDSA Guzent to Roosevelt Ave. (3rd lane from the sidewalk)
  • EDSA approach BP Tuazon flyover to approach A. of Boni Serrano flyover (3rd lane from MRT Line)

WESTBOUND:

  • General Luis St. Samote St. to SB Road
  • Elliptical Road from Kalayaan Ave to Maharlika St. (4th lane from the outer sidewalk)

NORTHBOUND:

  • EDSA QC after Aurora Blvd. to New York St. (3rd lane from the sidewalk)

Meanwhile, portions along C-5 cor. Eagle St., along Julia Vargas, and along Pasig Blvd. will be closed by 10 p.m. Friday night until 4 a.m. on Monday to give way to the construction of Manila Water’s main sewer network.

Affected motorists are advised to expect heavier than usual traffic and use alternate routes instead.

MANILA, Philippines – Several roads in Metro Manila will be closed for scheduled road reblockings and repairs starting Friday, February 14, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

In an advisory, the DPWH said the following roads will undergo repair and reblocking starting 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, February 17:

SOUTHBOUND:

  • Bonifacio Ave. Cloverleaf to 11th Ave. (1st lane from sidewalk)
  • EDSA Guzent to Roosevelt Ave. (4th lane from sidewalk)
  • EDSA approach BP Tuazon flyover to approach A. Boni Serrano flyover (2nd lane from MRT Line)

WESTBOUND:

  • General Luis St. Samote St. to SB Road

MANILA, Philippines – Several roads in Metro Manila will be closed due to the scheduled road repair and reblocking from Friday, February 7 to Monday, February 10.

In an advisory, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said the following roads will be closed starting 11 p.m. on Friday up to 5 a.m. on Monday.

SOUTHBOUND

  • Bonifacio Ave. Cloverleaf to 11th Ave. (1st lane from sidewalk)
  • EDSA Bulakan St. to West Ave. (3rd lane from sidewalk)
  • EDSA approach BP Tuazon flyover to approach A. Boni Serrano flyover (2nd lane from MRT Line)

WESTBOUND

  • General Luis St. Samote St. to SB Road
  • Elliptical Road from Kalayaan Ave to Maharlika St. (6th lane from outer sidewalk)

NORTHBOUND

  • EDSA QC after Aurora Blvd. to New York St. (3rd lane from sidewalk)

Meanwhile, Pasig Boulevard near Total Gasoline Station (second lane from sidewalk) will be closed by 10 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on Monday.

The DPWH said this is to give way to the construction of Manila Water’s main sewer network.

The DPWH advised motorists to take alternate routes to avoid expected build-up of vehicles.
