QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Nirespondehan ng UNTV News and Rescue Team ang nangyaring aksidente sa bahagi ng Katipunan Avenue sa Quezon City alas-dos ng madaling araw, Lunes.
Tumagilid ang isang closed van matapos bumangga sa poste ng ilaw sa center island.
Agad nilapatan ng paunang lunas ng UNTV News & Rescue Team ang gasgas sa kanang siko at bukol ng driver nito na si Jonathan Davino, 49-anyos.
Tumanggi na itong magpahatid sa ospital.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng traffic bureau sector 3, iniwasan ng closed van ang ilang sasakyang umano’y nagkakarera sa kalsada kaya ito nabangga sa poste ng ilaw.
Sa ngayon ay iniimbestigahan na ng mga otoridad ang posibleng pananagutan ng driver sa aksidente
Samantala, sa bahagi naman ng Guagua, Pampanga ay isang lalaki rin ang tinulungan ng UNTV Rescue Team nitong Linggo ng gabi matapos itong malunod nang mahulog sa isang taguling o kanal malapit sa national road sa San Jose.
Kinilala ang biktima na si Felix Garcia capid, 30 years old.
Ayon sa mga nakakita sa pangyayari, pasuray-suray ang lakad ng biktima nang huminto ito upang umihi sa gilid ng kanal. Maya-maya pa ay nahulog na ito.
Tiyempo namang padaan sa lugar ang UNTV News & Rescue Team (Bataan) kaya agad nasaklolohan ang lalaki.

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced that the Katipunan Avenue bypass road will open by the end of 2021.
The Katipunan Avenue bypass road, according to the DPWH, is already 70% complete. Once opened, it will shorten travel time from Quezon City to Rizal province from more than one hour to 40 minutes.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said motorists from Rizal can traverse the new bypass road instead of plying through Commonwealth to ease traffic.
“This will benefit Quezon city, Marikina, Rizal it’s an alternative route and its a new alignment in Metro Manila,” he said.
Around 10,000 motorists are estimated to benefit from the bypass road once it is opened to the public. The DPWH also said motorists do not need to pay any toll fees the road becomes operational. AAC (with reports from Joan Nano)
Five fishermen were rescued on Monday (September 14) by navy troops in the sea waters off San Mateo Point, Sinunuc, Zamboanga City.
The navy troops, onboard BA492, noticed four fishermen standing on a boat that capsized due to bad weather.
After rescuing the four, the troops were informed that the boat master was still inside the capsized boat.
The boat master was recovered and rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center. He was declared dead on arrival due to Asphyxiation secondary to accidental drowning.
“We provided the necessary assistance to the victims of the sea mishap and communicated with their respective families,” said Rear Admiral Erick Kagaoan, Commander, Naval Forces Western Mindanao.
The Philippine Navy extends their sympathy to the family of the boat master identified as 55-year-old Enricky Brocka. The Navy also assured they will provide assistance to victims of the accident. -AAC
