The Wishing Wall in Wish 107.5’s 2Mx2 thanksgiving bash held at the Centris Open Grounds
MANILA, Philippines — Wish 107.5’s 2Mx2 thanksgiving bash at the Centris Open Grounds last Friday is a wish come true for Wishers.
Aside from the enjoyment from the free musical entertainment offered by OPM artists and bands, the station also brings inspiration in the start of the granting of P2 million pesos worth of wishes for being thankful for their two million YouTube subscribers.
Just like Sharmaine Villamater from Mandaluyong whose 84-year-old father-in-law was given a wheelchair after not being able to walk for five years.
“Para sa father-in-law ko, malaking tulong na iyon sa kaniya. Kasi iyong makakalabas pa lang siya ng bahay na makita mong nag-e-enjoy, masaya na siya doon. Doon pa lang parang 100% na nakakatuwa makita mo siyang happy,” said Villamater.
(For my father-in-law, it is already a big help for him. The fact that he can leave the house, you can already see he is enjoying. Seeing him happy is a hundred percent joyful scene to witness.)
The catering package wished by Mary Joy Galias for street children and Jericho Jerom Altares for the patients he is caring for in the National Center for Mental Health will make a lot of people happy.
“Maraming batang nakakaawa na hindi kumakain,” said Galias.
(Many pitiful children are starving.)
“Malaking tulong iyong binigay ng Wish kasi last December hindi namin siya nagawa dahil family problem, sa pinansyal din. Kaya parang mabigat iyong kalooban ko kasi wala, walang nagawa. Ngayon, okay na ako kasi wish-granted talaga,” she added.
(What Wish has given is a huge help. Last December, we were not able to do it because of family problems, financial as well. So, I feel kind of heavy because nothing had been done. Now, I’m okay because it’s wish granted.)
“Kapag may mga relative pa iyong pasyente, may dalang spaghetti, may dalang masarap na pagkain, pero iyong ibang mga wala nang relatives, talagang ulila na, minsan naiinggit sila,” said Altares.
(If the patient still has a relative, [they bring] spaghetti. They bring delicious food, but those without relatives, those who are alone sometimes, they are envious.)
“Gulat na gulat ako and then tuwang-tuwa. And then thankful kay God kasi because na-grant iyong wish ko so sobrang saya, makakatulong kami. Makakatulong ako personally,” he said.
(I was surprised then happy and then thankful to God. My wish was granted, we are very happy because we helped. I can personally help.)
Because of this, wishers are very thankful to the FM station with a heart.
“Patuloy pong mag-inspire ng ibang tao through ganitong wish po kasi nakakapagbago po siya ng pagtingin sa isang istasyon na may tinutulungan po,” said a wisher.
(Continue to inspire other people through wish, it changes the perspective of a station that is helping someone.)
Last Friday, 22 wishes were granted by the station. The wish-granting will continue for two months.
Meanwhile, OPM artists send their greetings for the two million YouTube subscriber-milestone of the station
“Wish, congratulations to you. You guys deserve everything — all the success that you guys have been getting. You totally deserve it,” said RNB royalty Kris Lawrence.
“I’m just so happy that Wish FM has already two million subscribers and I’m really, really proud!” said Child wonder Xia Vigor.
“Thank you and congratulations so much. More power to you, guys,” said Spongecola guitarist Erwin Armovit.
“And I can’t wait for the three million point. Maybe sometime in a few months,” said the band’s drummer Tmac Cruz.
“Few months because of the parabolic increase in subscribers. Good job!” said Yael Yuzon.
It was on January 23 when the No.1 FM YouTube channel in the country, Wish 107.5, hit its two-million YouTube subscription milestone.
It also currently has more than 850 million views just under three and a half years since the channel was launched.
