True to UNTV’s commitment to its slogan, “Your Public Service Channel,” Munting Pangarap, which was formerly a mere segment of Good Morning, Kuya is now a regular 1-hour program aired every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. with no less than Mr. Public Service himself, Kuya Daniel Razon , as its host.
Munting Pangarap was conceptualized to personally reach out and extend a helping hand to the less fortunate members of our society.
The program is designed not only to listen and respond to the predicaments and concerns of the needy but also to make their little dreams and simple wishes come true. These could be a wish for a microbusiness, medical assistance or even requests for even the simplest things.
Munting Pangarap is fully aware that the poor have but small dreams and small wishes – and these are what the program wants to address. Because what may be small and simple for others may mean life and survival to them.
Munting Pangarap ni Kuya…
It’s objectives are as follows:
1. To come up with a monitoring of the Munting Pangarap beneficiaries/ grantees. This would, in a way, make them feel that the program’s concern for them does not start and end with the granting of their simple wishes.
2. To inspire and encourage others by making them realize that even with the meager assistance that Munting Pangarap could offer, it could still make a difference in their lives if handled properly.
3. To make others realize that they need not be mendicants all their lives. Once an opportunity to make a good start is offered to them, all they need to do is to use it wisely. That way, they could be self-reliant, thereby, boosting also their self-esteem. And perhaps, time would also come that they would already be the one’s making other dreams come true.
4. To give hope to others who are also presently experiencing travails in life.
5. To make our fellowmen realize that there are still people who truly care – ready to help without expecting anything in return.
