Deliberasyon ng JBC sa CJ Nominees, Dapat Munang Ipagpaliban – Tupas

 MANILA, Philippines – Dapat munang ipagpaliban ang deliberasyon ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) sa mga chief justice nominee habang nilulutas pa ang constitutional issue kaugnay sa JBC composition.

Ayon kay Congressman Niel Tupas Jr., magiging kwestyunable lamang ang kredibilidad ng JBC kapag itinuloy ang deliberasyon sa mga nominado nang walang kinatawan mula sa Kongreso.

“Basic to our constitution we have a bi-cameral nature, basic yan, nirerepresent namin directly people. Sino ba sa member ng JBC ang nagre-represent directly ng tao, di ba kami lang? Wala ng iba. It’s the later ego they not represent.”

Kumpiyansa naman ang mambabatas na malulutas ito sa lalong madaling panahon.

“We didn’t expect na ganito ang development, pero since nandito na ito na ang Congress decided na hindi kami mag-participate, it’s prudent sa JBC to wait na ma-resolve yung issue.” (Ito ang Balita ni Victor Cosare/Ruth Navales, UNTV News)
